Ignat Aleksandrovich Solzhenitsyn (Russian: Игнат Александрович Солженицын; born 23 September 1972) is a Russian American conductor and pianist. He is the conductor laureate of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia and the principal guest conductor of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra.
A winner of the Avery Fisher Career Grant, Ignat Solzhenitsyn serves on the faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music. He has been featured on many radio and television specials, including CBS Sunday Morning and ABC’s Nightline . Born in Moscow, Mr. Solzhenitsyn resides in New York City.
Aleksandr Isayevich Solzhenitsyn (11 December 1918 – 3 August 2008) was a Russian writer and prominent Soviet dissident who helped to raise global awareness of political repression in the Soviet Union, especially the Gulag prison system.

Mr. Solzhenitsyn is conductor laureate of the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, and principal guest conductor of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra. A 1994 winner of the Avery Fisher Career Grant, he has been featured on numerous radio and television specials.
