The King’s College opens in Belmar, N.J. Its campus is on an estate built by the wireless inventor and Italian aristocrat Guglielmo Marconi, and its mission, the dream of evangelist Dr. Percy Crawford, is to prepare young men and women with a liberal arts education to make a difference for Christ. Summer 1941.
Established in 1754 as King's College on the grounds of Trinity Church in Manhattan, it is the oldest institution of higher education in New York and the fifth-oldest in the United States and is considered one of the most prestigious universities in the world.
