Attention or focus, is the concentration of awareness on some phenomenon to the exclusion of other stimuli. [1] . It is a process of selectively concentrating on a discrete aspect of information, whether considered subjective or objective.
Formulated by Michael Posner, it assesses a person's ability to perform an attentional shift. It has been used and modified to assess disorders, focal brain injury, and the effects of both on spatial attention.
