Lod (hebreo: לוֹד; Grecolatino: Lydda, Diospolis; árabe: اللد, al-Ludd) es una ciudad del Distrito Central de Israel, localizada a 17,5 km al sureste de Tel Aviv. Según la Oficina Central de Estadísticas de Israel (CBS), a finales de 2010 la ciudad tenía una población de 70.400 habitantes.

In computer graphics, level of detail (LOD) refers to the complexity of a 3D model representation. [1] [2] [3] LOD can be decreased as the model moves away from the viewer or according to other metrics such as object importance, viewpoint-relative speed or position.
Lod ( Hebrew: לוד, or fully vocalized לֹד; Arabic: اللِّد, romanized : al-Lidd or al-Ludd ), also known as Lydda ( Ancient Greek: Λύδδα ), is a city 15 km ( mi) southeast of Tel Aviv and 40 km (25 mi) northwest of Jerusalem in the Central District of Israel. It is situated between the lower Shephelah on the east and the coastal plain on the west.
The LOD score (logarithm (base 10) of odds), developed by Newton Morton, is a statistical test often used for linkage analysis in human, animal, and plant populations. The LOD score compares the likelihood of obtaining the test data if the two loci are indeed linked, to the likelihood of observing the same data purely by chance.

Podľa niektorých definícií je to navyše väčšie plavidlo (na rozdiel od člna) a pohyb musí byť bezpečne riaditeľný (v tom zmysle sem nepatria technické plavidlá – pozri dole). Pojem zahŕňa aj ponorku a vesmírne plavidlo ( kozmická loď ).
