9 de feb. de 2024 · Graylingwell Hospital, to the north of Chichester, opened in July 1897. It was originally built as the West Sussex County Asylum to ease overcrowding at the main county asylum at Haywards Health. The hospital was for ‘pauper lunatics’.

The hospital, formerly known as the West Sussex County Asylum, was built in 1896 as a mental health facility before closing in 2001.
