MANNFORD. Located in northern Creek County, Mannford lies twenty-two miles west of Tulsa on State Highway 51. The incorporated town derived its name from a Cimarron River crossing known as Mann's Ford, named for Creek allottees Tom and Hazel Mann.
Mannford was named after T. E. Mann, the owner of the land where the Cimarron River could be safely crossed. The crossing was known as Mann’s Ford.
