Between 1936 and 1945, the Comburg was used for a variety of purposes, including a Hitler Youth center, a dormitory for forced laborers, and, eventually, a displaced persons camp. After the fall of Nazi Germany, the Comburg reverted to an educational purpose. Since 1947, it has been the campus of a teachers' school.
