John Stuart, 1st Marquess of Bute PC, FRS (30 June 1744 – 16 November 1814), styled Lord Mount Stuart until 1792 and known as The Earl of Bute between 1792 and 1794, was a British nobleman, coalfield owner, diplomat and politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1766 to 1776.
John Stuart, Lord Mount Stuart (25 September 1767 – 22 January 1794), was a British Tory politician. Mount Stuart was the son of the John Stuart, 1st Marquess of Bute, and the grandson of Prime Minister John Stuart, 3rd Earl of Bute. His mother was the Hon. Charlotte Jane, daughter and heiress of Herbert Windsor, 2nd Viscount Windsor.

James Stuart, 1st Earl of Bute. Sir James Stuart, 3rd Baronet, of Bute, created 1st Earl of Bute, MP, PC (1661 – 4 June 1710), was a Scottish soldier, advocate, judge and politician. He was the son of Sir Dugald Stuart, 2nd Baronet, and his wife Elizabeth Ruthven, daughter of Sir John Ruthven.
