  2. Kedleston Hall is a neo-classical manor house owned by the National Trust, and seat of the Curzon family, located in Kedleston, Derbyshire, approximately 4 miles (6 km) north-west of Derby. The medieval village of Kedleston was moved in 1759 by Nathaniel Curzon to make way for the manor.

  3. Built by Nathaniel Curzon, 1st Baron Scarsdale, to innovative designs by the young Robert Adam, the Hall was intended to pay homage to ancient Greece and Rome. The result is one of the most convincing and best-preserved expressions of classical architecture in Britain.
