Hace 2 días · Hong Kong, special administrative region (Pinyin: tebie xingzhengqu; Wade-Giles romanization: t’e-pieh hsing-cheng-ch’ü) of China, located to the east of the Pearl River (Zhu Jiang) estuary on the south coast of China. The region is bordered by Guangdong province to the north and the South China Sea to the east, south, and west.
The territory is a major port city with an outstanding deepwater harbor. Hong Kong covers an area of 1,106 km² (427 sq mi), compared it is 1.5 times the size of Singapore or six times the size of Washington, DC. Hong Kong has a population of more than 7.5 million people (in 2020).
