Brigadier-General Howard Clifton Brown (3 April 1868 – 11 September 1946) [1] was a British army officer and Conservative Party politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Newbury . Early life. Brown was born on 3 April 1868.
His great-uncle Howard Clifton Brown was elected as member of Parliament on several occasions. He is also a descendant of the Army officer and MP James Clifton Brown. Personal life. In 1979, Clifton-Brown married Alexandra, daughter of Wing Commander Denis Noel Peto-Shepherd, RAF. They have one son and one daughter.
