Rijswijk (Dutch: [ˈrɛisʋɛik] ⓘ), formerly known as Ryswick (/ ˈ r ɪ z w ɪ k / RIZ-wik) in English, is a city and municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. Its population was 55,220 in 2021, and it has an area of 14.49 km 2 (5.59 sq mi), 0.53 km 2 (0.20 sq mi) of which is water.

The Peace of Ryswick, or Rijswijk, was a series of treaties signed in the Dutch city of Rijswijk between 20 September and 30 October 1697. They ended the 1688 to 1697 Nine Years' War between France and the Grand Alliance, which included the Dutch Republic and the Holy Roman Empire.

The Reformed church dates from the 14th century, and there are some 17th-century houses. Although primarily residential, the town has oil wells, laboratories, and an important fruit-auction market. IJpenburg airfield is nearby.
