Wendy Melvoin is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter, who is well-known for her work with Prince Rogers Nelson, an American singer and songwriter, in his band The Revolution, and also for her musical collaboration with Lisa Coleman, with whom she formed the famous duo ‘Wendy & Lisa’, also known as Girl Bros.
As rear guard to one of the world’s most extroverted and absorbing performers, Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman were the indispensable co-architects of Prince’s most hallowed period. Joining his band at the age of 19 when making the Dirty Mind album, Coleman lent her melodic, atmospheric keyboard to Prince’s ever-growing musical tapestry.
