WikiProject Ireland is a WikiProject dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to the island of Ireland. This page and its subpages contain their ideas; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians.
The culture of Ireland includes the art, music, language, literature, folklore, cuisine and sport associated with Ireland and the Irish people. For most of its recorded history, the country’s culture has been primarily Gaelic (see Gaelic Ireland ).
WikiProject Ireland Collaboration is a Wikiproject inspired by Wikipedia:WikiProject Israel Palestine Collaboration and Wikipedia:WikiProject Sri Lanka Reconciliation. The projects intends to be a bipartisan effort to improve collaboration on and coverage of Irish related matters both North and South.
As there is a stalemate in achieving consensus on the issue, it has been decided to use the results of a poll of all Wikipedia editors to resolve the matter. The six most likely options, based on solutions used for other country names, from the Ireland Collaboration Project are listed below.

This department focuses on assessing the quality of Wikipedia's articles related to Ireland. While much of the work is done in conjunction with the WP:1.0 program, the article ratings are also used within the project itself to aid in recognizing excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work.
