Allan Alfonzo Capps was an American record producer, arranger, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and vocalist. Beginning in the 1960s and 1970s, he produced and arranged albums for popular artists such as Cher, Andy Williams, Helen Reddy, José Feliciano, Vicki Lawrence, and Liza Minnelli, and delivered film music for more than twenty films.
Al Capp (born September 28, 1909, New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.—died November 5, 1979, New Haven) was an American cartoonist who created the popular comic strip “ Li’l Abner .” Al Capp (standing), c. 1950. Capp studied landscape architecture at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts school and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia.
