  6. 19/07/2018 · Wikipedia says she collaborated on the screenplay for the film and it also says that it follows the plot fairly faithfully, but no, IMO, from what I’ve seen of the trailer, it’s unrecognisable. The River doesn’t have much of a plot, and the film has over-dramatised it, exoticised it, and sexualised it.
