El horario de verano británico (BST) comienza a las 01:00 GMT cada año el último domingo de marzo y termina a las 01:00 GMT (02:00 BST) el último domingo de octubre.
British Summer Time, also known as Daylight Saving Time, was the brainchild of a builder from Kent called William Willett. The story goes that one day on his way back from riding his horse in Petts Wood near his home in the early 1900s, he noticed many of the blinds and curtains in the neighbouring houses were still drawn, even though it was light.
Para abreviar, esta hora es conocida internacionalmente como GMT por las siglas de la expresión inglesa Greenwich Mean Time. Marginalmente, en España se usó la sigla en español HMG. [ 9 ] A inicios del siglo XX dicha hora se establecía por el movimiento de rotación del planeta.
