Charlottenlund is a suburban area on the coast north of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is the administrative seat of Gentofte Municipality . Bordered to the east by the Øresund , to the South by Hellerup and to the north by Klampenborg , it is one of the wealthiest areas in Denmark.
Charlottenlund Palace (Danish: Charlottenlund Slot) is a former royal summer residence in Charlottenlund, some 10 km (6 mi) north of central Copenhagen, Denmark. The palace was named after Princess Charlotte Amalie , who was responsible for the construction of the original palace.

Site history. Built. 1849-50. Charlottenlund Castle ( Swedish: Charlottenlunds slott) is a castle in Ystad Municipality, Scania, in southern Sweden. At first Charlottenlund, or Snårestads säteri as it was called then, was part of the Marsvinsholm estate .
Copenhagen Cup is an international Group One harness racing event at the Charlottenlund Racetrack in Copenhagen, Denmark. The race was established in 1928 and it was known as Internationalt Mesterskap ( International Championship) until 1966. Since 1975 Copenhagen Cup has been held annually on the second weekend of June.
