The Fine Arts Museum of Córdoba (Spanish: Museo de Bellas Artes de Córdoba) is a State-owned art museum located in the Spanish city of Córdoba. History. Similarly to most art museums in Spain, its creation ensued after the 1835 desamortización.

Fine Arts Museum. This museum, situated in the Plaza del Potro, was opened in 1862, by its first director, Rafael Romero Barros, father of the famous Cordoban painter Julio Romero de Torres.

The Museum of Fine Arts of Cordoba gathers a wide collection of Cordovan art made in the city from the 14th century to the present day. It was inaugurated in 1862 and since then has maintained its location in the Plaza del Potro, on the old Hospital de la Caridad.
