Parken Stadium, known simply as Parken to supporters, took two years to build and was officially opened in 1992, the same year that FC Copenhagen was formed. It was known for a long time as Telia Parken after a deal was agreed between the stadium’s owners and a the Danish communications company Telia.

History and description. Telia Parken is the largest football stadium in Denmark, the home of FC Copenhagen, and the standard playing venue of the Danish national team. Parken was built on the site of Denmark’s previous national stadium, Idrætspark, which had stood there since 1911.

Københavns Idrætspark, in daily use Idrætsparken, also known as Parken, was a multi-purpose stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was initially used as the stadium of Denmark national football team and Kjøbenhavns Boldklub. It was replaced by the Parken Stadium in 1992.
