The Rentenmark ( German: [ˈʁɛntn̩maʁk] ⓘ; RM) was a currency issued on 15 November 1923 to stop the hyperinflation of 1922 and 1923 in Weimar Germany, after the previously used "paper" Mark had become almost worthless. [1] It was subdivided into 100 Rentenpfennig and was replaced in 1924 by the Reichsmark .

Die letzten Rentenmarkscheine zu 1 und 2 Rentenmark, die auf den 30. Januar 1937 datieren, wurden am 5. September 1939 ausgegeben und waren bis zu den Währungsreformen 1948 in allen alliierten Besatzungszonen gültig. Ursprünglich sollte die Rentenmark bis spätestens 1934 vollständig durch die Reichsmark ersetzt werden.
