To solve this the easiest way is: directly after install remove c:/xampp/xampp-control.ini (that's .ini not .exe!); the file will be created in... start XAMPP Control panel, and select your preferred language. A new xampp-control.ini file will be created with defaults and writable by the authenticated users and administrators.

You may also need to go to the C:\xampp directory and change the settings for xampp-control.exe too. Right click on it, go to Properties > Compatibility and then check the "Run this program as ...
Drag and drop the XAMPP control panel to the above directory. It will open XAMPP automatically. If you want to auto start Apache and MySQL, click on config in XAMPP and check the Apache and XAMPP items (if unchecked) and save it. It will start it automatically. edited Aug 23, 2020 at 22:58.

9 de ago. de 2017 · Create a folder in any drive where you can copy all files of mysql->data folder, then clean the data folder and restart mysql from xampp control panel ,. Then move all folders only not files from your copy folder to mysql->data folder and move files ib_logfile0, ib_logfile1 , ibdata1 from copy folder to data folder so your databases and tables and table's data is available in phpmyadmin
14 de abr. de 2020 · It happens because the owner of xampp-control.ini is different than your user. A simple solution I did was to: copy it; paste it somewhere; copy it back to the original location; This way your user will become the owner of the file. No need to run Xampp Control Panel as Administrator which then prompts you each time you run it.
