Genesis 5:4 says nothing about the timing of the daughters, and the sons may simply have been refering to Cain, Abel and Seth. It gives the age at which Adam fathered Seth, how long he lived afterwards and the fact that he had sons and daughters. This is the same for each individual in the genealogy.
