Tengo un problema que me esta pasando en todas mis computadoras y también a otras personas que conozco que usan Opera. El problema es que Windows defender me detecta los archivos que Opera genera en la siguiente ubicación como virus \AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Code Cache\js\.
20 de sept. de 2016 · Assuming you downloaded the programs from an official Opera site, it's a 'false positive' in the AV. Opera keeps their own download sites squeaky clean and virus-free. If you downloaded from a non-Opera site, all bets are off about the program safety.
If you got the Opera installer from opera.com, it's probably a false positive caused by Windows Defender's Realtime Protection heuristics or its ransomware protection. You could turn off ransomware protection if you want.
7 de may. de 2018 · VirusTotal reports about malware in setup.exe. VirusTotal is a service which scans selected files with multiple antivirus engines. Settings for these scanners can be much different than the settings used on typical computers, and sometimes they report what we believe are false-positives.

25 de ago. de 2021 · Unfortunately, as it has been discussed numerous times, without code signing certificate, anti-viruses tend to flag it as risk ware. That's why the executables you see in release section are built on AppVeyor, directly from source code.
