  3. 5 de ene. de 2012 · The CKP sensor located on the oil pan (front side) consists of the signal generator (pick-up coil and magnet) and signal rotor (on crankshaft timing belt pulley). As the signal rotor (crankshaft) turns, AC voltage is generated in the pick-up coil.

  4. 29 de jun. de 2010 · Crank sensors rarely if ever fail, unless the wiring to them is disrupted. It's just an inductive pick-up w/no moving parts, located on the front / lower engine section by the crank pulley. I'm pretty sure that the engine won't even start if crank rotation isn't sensed by the computer.

  7. 4 de may. de 2013 · You probably should put a voltmeter on the battery and see what the volts are when you crank the bike. My battery is old and cranking voltage is only about 9.9v when cranking, but it starts right up cold or hot.
