The Tornados (the Tornadoes in North America) were an English instrumental rock group of the 1960s that acted as backing group for many of record producer Joe Meek's productions and also for singer Billy Fury.
The Tornados were an English instrumental group mostly active in the 1960s. The house band for pioneering record producer Joe Meek. Their original and classic line-up comprised Alan Caddy (guitar), Clem Cattini (drums), Heinz Burt (bass), George Bellamy (rhythm guitar) and Roger LaVern (keyboards).
