I have taken a drawing that is set up the way I want it (multiple sheets, notes, etc) and I want to save it as a drawing template. I have deleted all the views, however, the drawing still remembers the referenced file. I have opened the drawing in SWExplorer and see the references, but ...

I've also made sure to delete all of the BOMs that may have been referencing the other views and there are no external references in the needed subassembly. Is there any way to break the references to the old main assembly and components? It's not that big of a deal - I can still accomplish the drawing the way it is.

  3. 13 de feb. de 2009 · Drawing References PC By Paolo Cicala 02/13/09 Question: If I have two identical parts and Part_1.sldprt is in a drawing with dimensions etc, and I want to stop referencing Part_1.sldprt in that drawing and instead reference Part_2.sldprt, (i.e. not lose the dimensions I have already placed), how can this be done?

I open the new drawing, it says that it is referencing the new model, and when I right-click on a drawing view it opens up the new model but the drawing views all show the old model. I cannot delete the drawing as we have a finite set of numbers that is assigned by EPDM. This causes the biggest headache when approving parts as it will call up all 3 drawings and drawings that are just spare numbers are getting ...

In the "where used" tab there is an indication if a specific configuration is used in the drawing, I marked it in the attached picture ("sheet1").

So we're currently not working on a PDM (its incoming, but taking its time) and are looking to move some parts around without breaking the links in the respective drawings. On a network drive we have a couple different locations where parts/assemblies are ...
