Part two of the Netflix Fear Street series goes back to summer camp in 1978. Movies such as Friday the 13th and The Burning spring to mind here, though they were vastly superior. Impossible to capture the feel of a Golden Age Slasher movie (late '70s to mid '80s) but a good effort by the makers.

Fear Street: Part Two - 1978. Although this is the second film in the Fear Street trilogy, it was actually filmed last, after Part One: 1994 and Part Three: 1666. "Camp Nightwing" is a reference to the setting of the Fear Street book "Lights Out", although the plots are different.
