  1. 30 de mar. de 2019 · Re: FLUKE 289, shows message "warning leads connected incorrectly", I have detected. Osram SFH 325 FA-3 worked too. "The Diode DS2 is an infrared {LED} diode. Replacement with an SMD 0805 sized IR diode with 940nm wavelength seems to work just fine. In my case a Harvatek HT-170IRAJ was used.

  2. 16 de nov. de 2017 · Fluke 289 not quite sorted. Evening all. I just took a punt on a faulty ebay 289. Fixing what was most obvious (a broken battery connector) bore no fruit, but power was getting to it and it was drawing a steady 25mA. There is no screen action (not booting) and I'm unable to turn it off without removing the battery, or turning off the power supply.

  3. 28 de mar. de 2017 · I know what is wrong with your Fluke 289. In all likelihood, it will need to have a recalibration done. Ohms readings that do not go down to zero with the leads shorted, and especially those that drift, are a sign that a recal is needed. Even though you purchased it from an authorized Fluke dealer, calibration still has a legitimate shelf life.

  4. 29 de oct. de 2023 · The 189 also consumes a lot of battery, isn't more efficient than 289. Using a Fluke 289 in Electronics projects, tests, troubleshooting, etc is an excellent choice. The Return on Investment can be paid quickly, mostly if the work requires several logging measures. If logging is not so important, I really recommend the Agilent U1272/3A, U1282A ...

  5. 13 de jul. de 2020 · Then they mention : Owners of Fluke 289 multimeters with serial number 42830000 or LOWER can update to firmware version 1.16. These multimeters are NOT upgradable to any firmware higher than 1.16. I don't even see a link for newer firmware, but part of me doubts my unit could handle it even though the SN is not lower than 42830000.

  6. 10 de nov. de 2011 · Re: Going further with the Fluke 289. « Reply #7 on: November 13, 2011, 06:11:38 pm ». This is actually quite fun. It seems that the DMM supports two types of transfer: either a fully ASCII protocol, but also the same protocol with simple binary framing, each packet starting with 0x10 0X02 <DATA> 0x10 0x03 <CRC> though I was not able so far ...

  7. 19 de ago. de 2015 · Re: My Fluke 289 displays "warning leads connected incorrectly" after the case open. I will prior another investigation reset to factory defaults and upgrade firmware. If it is not some sensitivity bug. And after that check the photodiodes an phototransistor if they are working properly.

  8. 21 de ene. de 2014 · Before ordering anything, I suggest you consider the following. 1) Desolder all the thermistors, MOVs and 1k ohm green body resistor. 2) Clean up all solder flux, soot, dirt, etc with a generous amount of IPA. 3) Replace the thermistors and 1k ohm green body resistor with "regular" 1k ohm resistors.

  9. 14 de mar. de 2018 · Re: Fluke 289 Will Not Power On. Conversations with Fluke (service rep. and product specialist) confirm that: because this meter has the “Si” designation, it is not supported in North America. They explained that the Si meters are manufactured to the same design specification as the U.S. Fluke; however, because they are destined for the ...
