  1. 23 de sept. de 2024 · IMHO, the real Kiss 100 died when Steve Jackson was let go by Emap. It soon became a poor mans Rhythmic CHR with pitched up pop songs, although the corporate sounding Kiss had some highlights including Bam Bam who was more known for being a strong personality than his knowledge of dance music along with his sidekick Streetboy who introduced ...

  3. 7 de ago. de 2024 · However, this is my understanding: Kiss leaves 101, being replaced by Hits Radio. 97.2 FM in Bristol will remain as Kiss. 106.5 FM in Bristol will remain as Hits Radio (as 101 isn't great in Bristol itself). Some questions: Back in the day, Galaxy 101 used to talk about serving Swansea.

  4. 28 de jul. de 2024 · 28/07/24 - 10:49 #6. I still listen to Kiss, but I'm spoilt as my local DAB relay (I'm in a hilly area) has Kiss London, plus I can get the DAB national version (just about) as well. I also stream (using VLC which is quicker than Rayo) in the car, plus once I clear the hills I get it on FM.

  5. 15 de mar. de 2007 · i find kiss is still worth a listen, jez welham, roddingam, dj hype and patrick forge are all still there. the kisstory hour in the mornings is worth a listen, steve smart is good and i like jay cunnings, crazy d and loose cannons. kiss also has carl cox, armin van burin and john digweed - however it needs more house music shows midweek,

  6. 26 de may. de 2005 · Steve Jackson - Ex Kiss FM. Any know what's happened to Steve Jackson the double Sony and MOBO award winning DJ. I use to listen to this guy back in the 90s on Kiss 100 in London when he use to have a mid-morning slot, very funny show. He was then given the sack during the EMAP clear out in December 1998, took Kiss to court, and then recently ...

  7. 1 de sept. de 2013 · Classic FM £60,000 plus per year on a long term contract depending on who you are, My advice after over twenty years in radio, is, now if you asked me would i do it again ?, the answer would be certainly not, but I enjoyed my time. You could earn more doing a paper round today, get more job security too and work with much nicer people generally.

  8. 21 de jun. de 2008 · Great to read that there are many fans of Kiss out there who remember the old days like I do. I have managed to locate a few DJ friends on Facebook if anyone wants to find out where they are - you should find my profile under DJ Angie Dee.

  9. 7 de feb. de 2007 · Just think back to when the station started in September 1990 and was wondering where some of the old and original dj's are now. Like, Paul Anderson, Danny Rampling, Lindsay Wesker, Steve Jackson, Colin Dale, Jay Strongman, Gordon Mac, Joey Jay and Bobby & Steve? Danny Rampling is now retired I believe.

  10. 15 de sept. de 2024 · No changes on D1, where Kiss and Kisstory are still 80kb/s,and the London 1 changes haven't been implemented yet (Jazz FM still on) Absolute 80s, Absolute 90s, Planet Rock & the former Scala Radio have all dropped from 40kbps to 32kbps. Predictable, and fairly standard for Bauer unfortunately.
