The name is Onix. Onyx is a silicate mineral, which I guess Onix is made of. For me it’s always been ‘Onix’ because I remember when Nintendo released the DS Lite they had the white, coral and Onyx colours and I remember never having seen the word outside the pokemon ‘Onix’, and that the spelling was different.
21 de nov. de 2023 · Edit 2: you can also use a Metal Coat on your Onix to evolve it into Steelix. No trade necessary. You can farm Metal Coats from wild Magnemite or Magneton in Thundercap Mountain. You can get one in the cave outside Fallshore City. Is there any way to get Steelix before the elite 4 without trading?
19 de abr. de 2024 · It takes 16 pips to catch an onix, which with each biscuit averaging 1.2 pip value (cause of crits), it is going to take about 13.3 biscuits, or 2,000 sleep points worth. If you add the cost of the metal coat to that (since there currently is no other way to get a metal coat), that makes the cost of catching an onix and evolving it 3,400 sleep ...

26 de mar. de 2024 · Not evolution, but you could change your Onix into a Steelix by using GameShark or by hacking the save file. (You would need to do the research though, as I am not entirely sure what you'd need to change. Obviously the index number would need to be changed to D0, but I am not sure what changes you'd need to make to the stats and EVs and stuff) 1.
