2 de sept. de 2006 · Senior Member. The symbol that is the opposite of a slash (or /) or stroke, in French, to my knowledge, is referred to as 'anti -slash', on the basis of the English word 'slash'. The symbol is: \. However, 'anti-slash' is not, to the best of my knowledge, used in English; I believe the English term is 'reverse slash'.

24 de jun. de 2008 · Mar 3, 2011. #11. In text-speak, w/ = with, is very common. To do the opposite, people (used to) generally use the other slash w\ = without. I've noticed a drop in the trend of the backslash though, probably because people were confused with the ordering of the slashes and now I'd say what James mentioned earlier is the most common (w/o).
