  1. 5 de dic. de 2013 · When you reboot to Windows, please test this test again at 120Hz -- you'll see the image become half as pixellated as at 60Hz. Just like a real Nipikow mechanical TV -- the higher the Hz you can flicker a bulb (neon lamp in the 1920s, or single LED for modern Nipikow wheel reproductions) -- the higher the resolution of the mechanically-generated image.

  2. 23 de oct. de 2019 · The problem with convincing people about this whole '30 fps limit' nonsense is that the people who perpetuate it often don't actually care enough to learn anything about it. I showed one of these people two computers side by side running Quake III once, one running at 90fps on an 85hz monitor and the other capped at 30 fps.

  3. 2 de mar. de 2020 · I'm experiencing FPS drops while doing the UFO Test: Blur Trail. I'm using a 160hz monitor set to 160hz refresh rate. The FPS fluctuates from 160 down to about 155, even dipping into the 120 range randomly. The only application open on my PC is Firefox, which is running the test.

  4. 19 de oct. de 2022 · After installing overwatch 2 I noticed stuttering in game every now and then pretty consistently and it's really messing with my aim. I then did the UFO test and it seems to confirm I noticed that when I have a twitch stream or a youtube video running, or when I move my mouse around on the 2nd monitor this stuttering message pops up on the UFO ...

  5. Whenever I try to do UFO Test, I always get sync failure. The frame rate goes around 235-239. However if I open a game in the background, the test syncs to 240. If I set my monitor to 144hz, it syncs even if I don't open a game in the background. There is just some potential browser stutter.

  6. 5 de dic. de 2013 · Test Balanced Mode or Performance Mode Power-saving mode may force a browser into a 60Hz mode even with laptops connected to an external display. Upgrade Graphics Drivers Sometimes certain web browsers blacklists certain graphics drivers from properly working at full frame rate. A graphics driver upgrade may fix this. Retest Two Browsers Again

  7. 4 de abr. de 2019 · I have a good pc (gtx 2080, 16gb ram, i7 9700k 8 core 3.6ghz) and a great monitor (i think- alienware 25 g sync version). In game it shows 300fps but the Test UFO shows 60hz @ 60fps. I'm wondering if i'm actually only seeing 60fps displayed but the in game fps metric is what is being delivered not necessarily being displayed.

  8. 5 de dic. de 2013 · In-game limiters also won't work. The source engine's fps_max limiter is certainly not accurate enough (it's far away from 0.01FPS accuracy.) Maybe the Unreal Engine limiter is, but no one has tested. (But I doubt it has 0.01FPS accuracy. I'm not aware of any timer API, at least on Windows, that has this kind of granularity.)

  9. 7 de oct. de 2021 · "used to test high end gaming monitors on PC" Exactly, PC and Xbox are 2 different things. PC is the one that you need to close everything to get one more miserable fps. Xbox you have either a TV or a monitor with high frame rate and call it a day. There is no tweaking around. But okay.

  10. 19 de mar. de 2024 · Third test: smooth frog with V-sync OFF. It caps at 360 hz. I'm on firmware M2B103. Can your AW3225QF hit 240 hz in the UFO test? How do I find out the max refresh rate of my monitor? Do I need to enable anything else? Thanks a lot! Btw, I do notice that this model hits 240 hz in UFO in some Youtube videos. Edit: It can hit 240 hz in Edge.
