26 de abr. de 2022 · My most recent successful "Cumulative" Update was on April 12th is = 2022-04 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 11 for x64 (KB5012121). There have been other kinds of successful updates sine that time (including yesterday). It is only the two most recent Cumulative Updates that will not download and install. They are: 1.
17 de dic. de 2021 · I'm one of the people who had Windows 11 download itself without me telling it to do so. Now, it is ready for install. I do not want to install Windows 11 at this point. I want to keep my Windows 10. I've paused it for 7 days, but this is a temporary solution. Can I delete the Windows 11 download somehow?
4 de mar. de 2022 · To do a clean install I had to download Windows 11 and put it onto a bootable USB. Not every USB will work which I found out the hard way and also, it has to boot from a USB that's formatted as ex32FAT. No files over 4gbs in size can go on an exFAT32 drive and one of the files in the Windows 11 installation is over 4gbs so I had to split the files.

This setting in Windows 11 is at Windows Settings > Apps > Advanced App Settings > Choose Where to get apps > Anywhere. If that's already set then you may have bought a PC that has S mode, which only allows Store apps to be installed.
13 de sept. de 2022 · I don't know why Windows isn't updating itself, but that's not the problem. As you may have read from the title, when I try to manually update Windows, I can see the page where it says "Updates available to download" and the "Download & install all" button, which is grayed out. This is the first time seeing this button like this.
13 de feb. de 2023 · You can go to Settings > Apps > Advanced app settings. For "Choose where to get apps", you can choose "Anywhere". If the above option is not available for you, please type winver in the search on the taskbar and hit enter. In the pop up, see if it says S mode.

Restart (several times) Restart with no peripherals attached. Restart with all startup processes turned off. Disable and re-enable update services. Delete contents of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.
Go to Download driver and firmware for Surface, choose your Surface device model then click Download on the next page. Choose the .msi file that matches your current OS Build and click Next. 28 de dic. de 2021 · A while ago, accidentally I pressed the upgrade to windows 11 button in Windows 10 and now my Windows 11 upgrade is downloading. Still, its status is downloading. I paused the updates to stop it from being downloaded, but as soon as I resume the updates, again it's starting to download.
