2 de ene. de 2022 · A generic key is basically just a tool used to allow installing or upgrading to a specific Windows 11 edition. As @NavyLCDR posted, if you have a digital license for the Windows 11 edition, it will then automatically get activated. Very well, this defines the purpose of these keys and the limit of their usage.

30 de ene. de 2024 · I have Windows 11 Pro Cd Key Retail Microsoft Global. Used it once last year for 64-bit desktop computer. That computer still in use. Now on my 64-bit laptop > Windows settings > Activation, I input this same key and it allows me to continue & start the upgrade of my edition of my current windows 11 home message on screen. 15 de jun. de 2022 · Jun 16, 2022. #10. Edit: Once running Home, if the Pro is a OEM key, change the license key with a generic Pro key. (Windows doesn't accept a OEM Pro key to upgrade). It will upgrade to Pro, restart but wont activate. Then change the license key with the OEM Pro. Now it will activate.
