26 de sept. de 2024 · I have been using windows live mail for ages and I find it very frustrating that I can still use gmail and other accounts and hotmail stopped signing in. Is there a way to fix this? Migrating to outlook is the only solution? (if it can be called such since I have lots of accounts attached to windows live mail)

There is something I have read about "app passwords" which sounds a lot like what Yahoo has done. I have about 75 clients who use WLM. Most of them have Gmail accounts. I would rather not have to switch to a different mail client.

Microsoft has adopted the modern authentication since 9.16, if your mailbox application doesn't support the modern authentication, you will not be able to connect to Microsoft mailbox to send and receive emails normally.
