  1. A Warning About Glassdoor. EDIT: A little info from Glassdoor that I learned as part of my last job in marketing: The most recent review left, regardless of its score, is weighted at 80%. This is why after a negative review is left, a company will routinely leave an onslaught of positive reviews to counterweight the negative one.

  2. Glassdoor says on their site, "Your trust is our top concern, so companies can't alter or remove reviews." Probably technically true, but they apparently can have Glassdoor remove the reviews for them. I think ex-employees review reports are treated differently than company review reports.

  3. 30 de jul. de 2018 · Yes, along with industry-specific job boards this is how most job postings are distributed. I found my job through indeed, which directed me to the posting on linkedin. Both of these are good platforms for job hunting. I've always used those sites for reviews about the companies but I haven't actually used it to apply for a job with those ...

  4. It's better than nothing, but be aware of small sample sizes. pretty reliable, but a lot of companies add fake reviews OR delete bad reviews. you can usually figure out if a company has deleted reviews because the number of total reviews does not match the number of reviews you can see.

  5. I never had this problem as recent as 3+/- years ago with Glassdoor (or Indeed for that matter) but recently, I've had to hide my resume as I was getting inundated with texts and calls from illegitimate jobs. Basically, the same old - download this app for an interview or follow this link. We're paying $50/hr or $35/hr or simple work from home ...

  7. My biggest problem with Glassdoor was that massive number of duplicate postings. I could search for a job like "project manager" and it would show 10 pages worth of jobs, but the jobs that appeared on page 2 would have a lot of the same that appeared on page 1. Those that appeared on page 3 would also appear on page 1 or 2, etc.

  8. 27 de dic. de 2020 · I just recently noticed that 1) All of my reviews up until this point have been deleted and 2) when I do post a review that is thorough or succinct, it's deleted right after I posted. This is denoted by the reviews' status as "Removed" as opposed to the expected "Pending" that I should be seeing.

  9. So, in our case, well worth the subscription. No. Flexjobs and virtualvocations were not worth it. I’m a professional grade contractor and heard a lot bout both of those when I was very early in my PGC career. Their price pts per month were low, so I ran my own experiment to see if they had good ROI.

  10. All the reputable marketing companies post their jobs to LinkedIn, you just need to know how to vet companies. And never bother applying directly through LinkedIn. When you find a job posting you like on LinkedIn, go to the actual companies website, go to their “careers” section, find the job, and apply directly there.
