Like McCall returning to the troubled life, a more familiar life, that he promised his wife he'd, by killing nikolay and Pushkin. The same as troubled boy returning to the orphanage, a more familiar place.

  5. Years ago (late 80’s to early 90’s), we watched a movie in which a seaside town is terrorized by a sea-monster which turns out to be a giant turtle. At the very end of the movie, the turtle sinks into the ocean and we see its shell with the initials (with the typical ‘+’ and heart, I think) that the boy and girl carved onto it when they were young.

  7. 30 de mar. de 2014 · This explanation (and this question, to be honest) are pretty 'spoilerific', so whilst I'm aware SE is a spoiler-tolerant site, I'm gonna go ahead and throw up a courtesy flag to anyone thats anticipating seeing the Movie: it's taken an age to get to the UK, and I did all I could to not ruin what turned out to be an awesome movie.

  9. If you watch the 2006 hindi movie 'Zinda', which is largely based on Old Boy, there are small changes from the original plot. In that movie the revnge is justified because Oh Dae-su's character spreads a false rumor which leads to the girl's death. However in the original movie, the revenge is unjustified.
