31 de ago. de 2023 · Fast forward 20 years (I can't believe this is 20 years old) and today I am rewatching this with my 7 and 4 year olds. It's not their first watch of this either but they enjoy it a lot. The butt and ass jokes hit the mark, donkey is loved and they are invested in the relationship between Shrek and Fiona.

Not as good as Shrek 2, but it’s still a monumental achievement in animation in terms of storytelling and it’s place in pop culture is forever cemented. The dynamics between the main trio and Lord Farquaad’s hilarious presence as a villain are what carry this movie.
23 de ago. de 2020 · Shrek has always been great and Shrek 2 is even better. The rest of them not so much. As for Dreamworks, there’s plenty of excellent animated features: Shrek, Shrek 2, Kung Fu Panda, KFP2, Megamind, Monsters vs Aliens, Puss in Boots, Flushed Away, Wallace & Gromit: the Curse of the Wererabbit, Over the Hedge, Chicken Run, How to Train Your Dragon.
I watched Shrek since I was 4 or 5, since then I didn’t get none of the jokes, but now as a 15 year old, slowly learning life, and growing into a man. It took me awhile A LONG WHILE, to get the jokes in it. At the beginning of the movie, the writer already throw in adult humor, “That’s a load of” - it cuts out and I swear it means shit.

18 de may. de 2022 · I remember being so sad that hshop didn't have more movies so I simply Googled it and somehow I found shrek through the archive.org website. I'll let you know if I find it Edit: I couldn't find it yet, but I did find a .cia file of it on another thread. Tell me if it works because I will probably save it for myself later too lol
7 de abr. de 2020 · The developers of Shrek (2001) took mud showers to study “fluid dynamic simulation” for the movie. The art director also took a trip to a magnolia plantation to learn how to properly render Shrek’s swamp. He was chased by an alligator.

14 de feb. de 2022 · In Shrek (2001) the entire movie can fit into a 20mb gif file and be uploaded to sites like Reddit. I know this because it's attached to this post and completely watchable albeit in a terribly low quality.
