4 de jul. de 2022 · Since Windows 11 is now using Video Editor for their software rather than the old Movie Maker Software that was available back in the day to make slide shows, the new app has taken away the transitions function that used to be on Movie Maker slideshow software but is no longer available on the current Video Editor software preinstalled with Win 11.
9 de feb. de 2023 · Windows Live Essentials have been discontinued since quite some years ago. It is never tested on recent Windows builds (including Windows 11) so there's no guarantee of anything at this point even if you manage to get it installed. I will suggest that you consider alternatives, such as Windows Mail app, Windows Photos app, etc.
24 de feb. de 2018 · I think you are referring to the Windows Vista version of Windows Movie Maker 2.6 that is basically a CPU-only version using the XP code for those on Vista that didn't have a powerful enough GPU. The version after that is Windows Movie Maker 6.0 which had both a 64-bit version and GPU rendering of effects and transitions.
6 de dic. de 2023 · When I upgraded to Windows 11, I lost my beloved Movie Maker, on which I posted so many travel videos. I am a travel writer and that program was my go-to for simple and beautiful videos. I would appreciate any help as to where I can find an "old fashioned" Windows 7 version of Movie Maker, and happy to pay. Thanks for any advice.
The last version launched in 2012 with the release of Windows 8. Since then, the software has been in maintenance mode. Even though the software firm promised to remove the software by January 10, 2017, its still available for download.
30 de jun. de 2013 · The latest version of Movie Maker is Movie Maker 2012 which is part of Windows Essentials and can be downloaded from Microsoft directly. If you are loading WMM 2.6 because you want a "classic" version of Movie Maker with a traditional timeline, you might at least want to load WMM 6.0 which has a 64-bit version, better memory management, GPU support, etc.
I have an old Windows Movie Maker file with a file extension of MSWMM. I am trying to find a way to convert it to a viewable file since Microsoft has discontinued Movie Maker. Any suggestions for
13 de may. de 2017 · Trying to import video from an old Panasonic Vid camera using mini DV tapes into Windows 10 Movie Maker (MM). When I click 'import video' in MM I get a message saying, 'the video device is currently in use. Close any other programs and try again'. The thing is, the video device is not in use.
7 de dic. de 2023 · Hello - I have been using Windows Movie Maker on my Windows 10 (now upgraded to 11) laptop for the past few years. I have had the appropriate CODECs loaded and able to use MP4, MOV, etc files with both Media Player and Movie Maker. In mid-Nov, there appears to have been an update as a few general Windows features were modified.

So I was putting together a video and was trying to do something with a photo background and couldn't do it, so I googled how I could do it and came upon Windows Live Essentials 12.
