I was very excited to play it, considering it's one of the rare Zelda titles I didn't play (the others are Skyward Sward, since I don't own a Wii, Oracle of Age/Season and Zelda 2 on NES) and Zelda is one of the franchise I simply love.
26 de nov. de 2017 · In Breath of the Wild, PBR is used with a bit of artistic flair, so you might not notice that the engine even relies on such a pipeline since the textures don't necessarily look realistic. However, the BRDFs (Bi-directional Reflectance Distribution Function) used on the materials make it pretty clear that the engine uses PBR.
24 de mar. de 2022 · Breath of the Wild, in spite of its less unique rewards, manages to stay far more consistent with the spoils while at the same time being way more interesting to survey, maneuver and spend time in. As far as the "open world" aspect is concerned, I think this part reigns supreme. It's a mechanical playground that's extremely well considered.

26 de nov. de 2017 · You're gonna need to be more specific about these distances because what you're describing is how the Xenoblade games do shadows and that's not what's happening in Breath of the Wild. One thing that is important to note is that you can't infer how a rendering solution is implemented in real time under normal gameplay conditions if you aren't analyzing it in real time under normal gameplay ...
