Today, I tried looking at a local business' facebook page when not logged in, and it redirected me to a login page. I tried the same with Microsoft's page as a test and got the same result.

  6. I've had facebook for a little less than a year and in that whole time I've been using marketplace, primarily looking at cars and guitars. I've never posted any listings and according to facebook's marketplace requirements help page, I check all the boxes and have no reason to not have access.

  7. It is poorly implemented security. Meta security is a disaster. Well implemented security will find the right balance between preventing the attackers and convenience. Meta/Facebook has failed at this.

As soon as I signed up for the account, Facebook pretty much said my account has been suspended and I need to upload a photo of myself to prove it's me.

  10. A few times over the last year or two, I have gotten notifications from Facebook insisting that I upload photo Id to confirm my name. I was always able to bypass it by re-entering my account url, etc. And this was never too much of a problem. A few days ago, I got a notification DEMANDING that I upload government issued Id.
