Ärzte ohne Grenzen, gegründet 1993 als eingetragener Verein, ist die deutsche Sektion. Seit 2003 gibt es zudem eine Ärzte ohne Grenzen Stiftung. Zusammen mit den Sektionen aus Großbritannien und den Niederlanden bildet die deutsche Sektion das Operational Centre Amsterdam.
