İsa Çelebi (d. September 1403) was an Ottoman prince ( Turkish: şehzade) and a co-ruler of the empire during the Ottoman Interregnum . Background. İsa was one of the sons of Bayezid I, the Ottoman sultan. His mother was Devletşah Hatun, the daughter of Süleyman Şah of Germiyanids and Mutahhara Abide Hatun, daughter of Sultan Walad.
The second son, İsa Çelebi, established himself as an independent ruler at Bursa and Mehmed formed a kingdom at Amasya. War broke out between Mehmed and İsa, and following the battles of Ermeni-beli [13] and Ulubad (March–May 1403), [11] Isa fled to Constantinople and Mehmed occupied Bursa. [14]
