After 18 years of married life, St. Rita (1386-1457) was widowed and then her two sons died. Now single, she was called to the religious life. Jesus imprinted on her brow the mark of a thorn from His crown.

He was the third ruler in medieval Europe to take on such great legislative work. The Laws of the Land were to be applicable law for over 400 years!
