  7. The monoliths were a good touch on the film starting from the very beginning with the apes, to the monolith sending the signal to Jupiter, to the monolith at the very end with Dave. The last 30 minutes or so was absolutely silent and I must admit that was great touch. It forced you to sit back and truly observe wtf you were actually seeing.
