The Forgotten Poems online anthology will always remain 100% free. Given that these histories have already been forgotten once, it feels counterintuitive to hide them behind paywalls.

Along with Brooks, other female poets who became well known during the 1950s and '60s are Nikki Giovanni and Sonia Sanchez.
