Adelaide of Holstein-Rendsburg (died January 1350), Countess of Schauenburg, was the daughter of Count Henry I and his wife, Helwig of Bronckhorst. One source gives her birthdate as 1299 in Rendsburg, Rendsburg-Eckernforde, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

Adelaide of Holstein-Rendsburg Valdemar III (1314–1364) was King of Denmark from 1326 to 1329, while he was underage; he was also Duke of Schleswig as Valdemar V in 1325–26 and from 1330 to 1364.
Adelaide of Holstein-Rendsburg Helvig of Schleswig (also erroneously Hedwig ; 1320–1374) was the queen of Denmark as the spouse of King Valdemar IV . She was the mother of Queen Margaret I of Denmark .

He was the son of Gerhard I, Count of Holstein-Itzehoe (d. 1290) and Elisabeth of Mecklenburg (d. c. 1280 ). In 1285, he was able to persuade King Eric V of Denmark to release Duke Valdemar IV of Schleswig from captivity. After the death of his father, the surviving sons divided the county among themselves.

Henry IV, Count of Holstein-Rendsburg (1397 – 28 May 1427) was Count of Holstein - Rendsburg and Duke of Schleswig from 1404 until his death. Life. Henry was the son of Gerhard VI of Holstein and Catherine Elisabeth of Brunswick-Lüneburg (d. 1417/1422) from the Holstein-Rendsburg line of the House of Schauenburg.
