Agnes of Hesse-Kassel (14 May 1606 in Kassel – 28 May 1650 in Dessau) was a princess of Hesse-Kassel by birth and by marriage Princess of Anhalt-Dessau. Life. Agnes was a daughter of Landgrave Maurice of Hesse-Kassel (1572-1632) from his second marriage to Juliane of Nassau-Siegen (1587-1643), the daughter of Count John VII of Nassau-Siegen.
Biography. Agnes zu Solms-Laubach was born 7 January 1578, [1] at Laubach, [2] the fifth child and eldest daughter of Johann Georg I, Count of Solms-Laubach, and his wife Margarethe von Schönburg-Glauchau. [3] She married 23 September 1593 at Kassel, as his first wife, [2] Moritz, Landgrave of Hesse-Kassel, [1]; and had the following issue; [4] ;

When Landgravine Agnes von Hessen-Kassel was born on 24 November 1620, in Kassel, Gelnhausen, Hesse-Nassau, Prussia, Germany, her father, Landgraf Wilhelm von Hessen-Kassel V, was 18 and her mother, Amalie Elisabeth von Hanau-Munzenberg, was 18.
