Agnes married Berthold IV, Duke of Merania. From this marriage Agnes gained the titles of Duchess of Merania and Countess of Andechs. In 1186, Agnes" husband accompanied Henry VI, Holy Roman Emperor, to the Kingdom of Sicily. In 1189, he led the third division of the imperial army and was its standard-bearer on the Third Crusade.
About 1180, Berthold married Agnes of Rochlitz, a daughter of Margrave Dedi III of Lusatia from the Saxon House of Wettin. They had: Otto I (d. 1234), [2] succeeded his father as Duke of Merania , married Beatrice II of Hohenstaufen , [4] daughter of Count Otto I of Burgundy , became Count palatine of Burgundy in 1211

Agnes von Rochlitz (* 1152; † 25. März 1195 in Dießen am Ammersee ), auch Anežka z Rochlitz bzw. Agnes von Wettin aus dem Haus der Wettiner, Herzogin von Meranien, war eine deutsche Adlige und Mutter mehrerer europäischer Königinnen. Agnes war die einzige Tochter des Markgrafen Dedo III. der Lausitz und seiner Frau Mechthilde von Heinsberg.

She married Philippe II of France in 1196 despite him not being divorced from his second wife. She died after giving birth to her third child.
